The PowerStep® Heat Moldable shoe insoles were designed to provide a personalized fit for all arch types through heat-molding technology. The PowerStep Heat Moldable full length insoles have a unique design with two layers of plush cushioning and a heat moldable base, allowing for maximum comfort with a personalized fit. The anatomical contoured arch support and heel cradle stabilize the foot and improve alignment, adding stability and motion control to limit excess stress on feet, ankles, joints, and tendons. The Heat Moldable insoles provide the perfect blend of stability and cushioning for any arch type.

BENEFITS

Feet need stable, yet flexible arch support for shock absorption and proper alignment. By combining premium cushioning and an anatomically contoured arch shape, the PowerStep Heat Moldable shoe insoles are a trusted solution to improve foot function, decrease arch pain, and help alleviate common foot conditions typically caused by overpronation, mild to moderate pronation, or supination.

Unsupported feet can cause overpronation, mild to moderate pronation, or supination depending on your arch type:

  • Overpronation (low arches) can cause: Plantar Fasciitis; Achilles Tendonitis; Metatarsalgia; Morton's Neuroma; Arch & heel pain; Ankle, knee, hip & back pain; Shin splints; Bunions; Heel spurs; Hammer & claw toes; Calluses & corns
  • Mild to moderate pronation (standard arches) can cause: Plantar Fasciitis; Achilles Tendonitis; Arch & heel pain; Ankle, knee, hip & back pain; Shin splints; Bunions; Heel spurs; Hammer & claw toes; Calluses & corns
  • Supination (high arches) can cause: Plantar Fasciitis; Achilles Tendonitis; Fat pad atrophy; Morton's Neuroma; Arch & heel pain; Ball of foot pain; Ankle, knee, hip & back pain; Shin splints; Stress fractures in the feet & legs; Bunions; Heel spurs; Hammer & claw toes; Calluses & corns

HEAT MOLDING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare the Shoe and Insole for Molding: Preheat oven or toaster oven to 225° F. Select a pair of shoes to use for insole molding. If possible, loosen shoes and remove all padding from inside of shoes, such as factory inserts or insoles. Make sure to notice RIGHT or LEFT foot on the bottom of each insole. Test fit the PowerStep® Heat Moldable insole in the shoe by positioning as far back towards the heel as possible. Insole can be trimmed for a better fit, using the shoe's original insole as a guide.
  2. Heat the Insole for Molding: Heat one insole at a time. Place insole on the middle rack with the fabric side face up and the black temperature tab facing outward. After 1 minute & 30 seconds, check the color of the temperature tab. Carefully remove the insole once the black tab turns red - insole will be warm to the touch. If the black temperature tab hasn't turned red after 1 minute & 30 seconds, leave insole in oven for an additional 15 seconds until the temperature tab turns red - may take up to 5 minutes. Do not overheat.
  3. Mold the Insole: Quickly place the PowerStep Heat Moldable insole into the loosened shoe. While wearing socks, place foot in shoe and stand with knees slightly bent. Stand on insole for 1 minute to set. PowerStep Heat Moldable insoles can be remolded up to 5 times.
